Painted Gardens Summer Painting Workshop
This acrylic paint workshop is based on my last painting collection, "Painted Gardens". The collection was so popular, several people asked if I would teach a workshop. This is a 3 hour workshop, from noon to 3pm central time on Saturday June 26th. The workshop will be hosted on Zoom, and will be recorded.
Supplies you will need:
- Canvas. I plan to use 11" x 14" (even though the original Painted Gardens were smaller). For this, your first painting, I would not go any larger than 12" x 16".
- Catalyst wedge W-06. You can find these at Jerry's Artarama, Amazon and Dick Blick. This is a must-have for this workshop. https://www.dickblick.com/items/princeton-wedge-shape-6/
- Paintbrush. A #10 or #12 flat or round brush is fine. I'm not picky....just nothing too big or too small to add in the background, for example.
- Acrylic paints. Use whatever colors you like. I will be talking a little about what colors I use as I demonstrate. Since this painting workshop is expressive and somewhat abstract, feel free to choose your own color palette to express your own garden. The flowers and the colors are up to you. I will talk a bit about composition, color and demonstrate how to use the Catalyst wedge to create your garden.
- Table or easel.
