This painting was inspired by an expansive preserve near my home that contains a large lake, miles of forest and prairie. The prairie is hilly, and I love hiking over the hills with my love and seeing the expanse open up in fields of wildflowers waving in the summer breeze. We hold hands and laugh as we feel all of our senses heightened by such beauty and free-spiritedness. This painting captures those fields in an abstracted fashion.

This one has touches of metallic gold and metallic berry, giving it extra dimension and shimmer as it catches the light. There are so many beautiful colors in this painting, representing sunlight, fields and wildflowers. Sides are painted a solid, muted blush color.
