"Lilac Joy" painting
One of the hardest things for a kid to endure are those last days of school before summer break. I grew up attending a small, private school. At that time, the school did not have air conditioning, and in those last days before school was dismissed, I sat staring out the open windows at a grove of lilac trees across the playground. As soon as the bell would ring and we were dismissed, I would remove my jumper and my shoes and pick lilacs to carry home. My hope it that this painting will conjure up childhood memories of running barefoot amongst lilac groves as their scent filled the warm air. "Lilac Joy" was created with acrylic paint and oil pastels on fine gallery wrapped canvas.24" x 30" x 1.5". Arrives wired and ready to hang.
